For those looking to purchase real estate here, we will consider just what Pasadena, CA has to offer in terms of facilities and exclusivity in exchange for higher costs for real estate buyers and residents.

    Best Place to Live

Pasadena, located in Los Angeles County, is considered one of the nicest places to live in California. This is because it will offer its residents, most of whom rent, an urban-suburban feel.

A good deal of young professionals reside in Pasadena and the residents there will tend to be liberal. There are many restaurants, parks, and coffee shops to enjoy for recreation and entertainment. The atmosphere is pleasant and the people equally so.

In terms of safety, the crime rate is as low as 41.44 per 1,000 residents according to one article. Then if you want more safety still, residents will tend to head towards the southeast part of the city of Pasadena.

    What is Pasadena Famous For?

Pasadena is known as Crown City. The word “Pasadena” literally means “Valley”, in the Indian Ojibwa (Chippewa) language. It is currently interpreted as “Crown of the Valley” or “Key of the Valley”. This explains the presence of the crown and key that are depicted in the city’s official seal.

Historically, Pasadena was inhabited by the Hahanog-na Indian Tribe. They lived in scattered villages along Arroyo Seco and its canyons, from the mountains down to South Pasadena.

The city is famous for having Meryl Streep and Kirsten Wiig as two of its celebrity residents. Pasadena has enjoyed a run of high-profile home sales recently. It was the actresses Mandy Moore and Summer Bishi buying homes here that had prompted further famous house sales.

Pasadena is also famous for the New Year’s Day Rose Parade and its Rose Bowl game. The rose parade is an annual parade marking the beginning of the rose bowl game. The one that was first held in 1890 was watched by hundreds of thousands of spectators. It is a special occasion to be part of as a resident.

    Weather Conditions

When we consider moving somewhere, the weather will be important to us. Pasadena, higher in terms of sea level, can promise average weather that is both hotter and colder than LA. The fact that for significant parts of the year it is warmer will please those looking to move here.

In terms of Pasadena’s winter, it is good to read that its temperature will settle at 45 degrees and then only on rare occasions go below freezing. So, it is not as cold as many places even in winter. Pasadena’s average for snow is zero, to indicate that it does not get too cold here.

To take advantage of the summer weather, the distance from Pasadena to Ocean Beach is only 111 miles. This is not far in terms of the vastness of America.

    Facilities

The public schools in Pasadena are considered above average, which is good when you want your children educated to the best possible standards of achievement.

Pasadena can also boast the world-famous California Institute of Technology. Collectively, its alumni have earned themselves 32 Nobel Prizes.

There are many reasons to want to live in Pasadena, whether we choose to buy or rent a property. Its higher costs make it a more exclusive area in which to live, it is known for its nice climate and the Rose Bowl game, and has public schools that are considered above the national average. Included in its accomplishments is its Institute of Technology that inspires each one of us to do well and to achieve the most we can from our inborn talents.

Would you ever consider moving to Pasadena?
