What Real Estate Investors Find Special about the San Gabriel Valley Area

    December 10, 2021Updated:August 3, 202405 Mins Read

San Gabriel Valley Area is a principal valley of Southern California. It lies east of Los Angeles city. It stretches from Pasadena to Pomona, which is located at the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, which is to the north. Within this valley are numerous suburban communities towards the northeast of Downtown Los Angeles.

To find out more about San Gabriel’s real estate market, visit https://cristalcellar.com/san-gabriel-valley-real-estate-market-report.

    History

San Gabriel is one of the first townships of the then County of Los Angeles, which was incorporated as a city in 1913. This was on the 24th of April with a population of 1,500 people. In 2019, San Gabriel’s population was recorded as 40,143.

Another name for San Gabriel, in keeping with its history, is the “birthplace of the Los Angeles region.” That is, however, quite a mouthful, so residents stick to San Gabriel.

What is at San Gabriel Valley?

The area of San Gabriel is known for its fine dining and its magnificent rose gardens. There is also Mission Revival and its craftsman’s homes. San Gabriel has some world-class museums to explore too, which you can visit them as a tourist or explore them as a resident. You have that time to enjoy them when you live in San Gabriel permanently.

San Gabriel’s Mission is a well-preserved feature. Many of its original features remain intact. This includes six altar statues that were brought across the Horn of Africa in 1791. Also, there is a baptismal font made from hammered copper. This was a gift from King Carlos III of Spain in 1771.

There is plenty of history attached to San Gabriel Valley to make it special.

    Rose Bowl Flea Market

Something at San Gabriel that deserves special mention is their Rose Bowl Flea Market. Here you can find treasures. Not just the modern kind but vintage ones too. There are approximately 2,500 vendors who you could regularly visit if you were a permanent resident or real estate investor at San Gabriel. The flea market in San Gabriel is considered one of America’s best flea markets. As you may know, everyone loves a market.

To furnish your property in San Gabriel, rustic furniture can be found at the market. If you are into vintage clothing, then you can purchase that too and achieve that retro or period look in every sense. Even comic books can occupy the market to rekindle childhood and show your children just what you were reading or looking at as a child.

The market is the kind of place that you would want to frequent, should you decide to buy real estate in San Gabriel.

    Safety

San Gabriel is in the main considered a safe city. It has several recreational areas and parks that can be enjoyed, and the population that commonly go to those parks are considered diverse. We can feel relatively safe in its open spaces as we encounter lots of diverse types of people who all want peace and harmony where they live.

    Climate

The hottest month in San Gabriel is August, with an average temperature of 87.6 degrees. This means that it is above the average for that time of year. If you enjoy the heat, think in terms of San Gabriel for your place to live without having to travel anywhere during this month.

    Cost of Living

How expensive is it to live in San Gabriel, you might wonder? Well, it is 47% higher than the national average. We should note, though, that the cost of living in any area will vary according to average salary and careers, and the real estate market. You can check this out by following the top link in this article.

In terms of real estate, where somewhere is more expensive you get that exclusivity, luxury, and a better class of people living next door. That is what makes it pleasant about a place. It is the people that make a place just as much as its surroundings. We want it to be affordable but not to the extent that anyone can move next door and make living less pleasant. We can only report with San Gabriel that the people will welcome you and appreciate you becoming a resident alongside them. It is new people with fresh ideas that grow a community.

The cost of living in California is significantly above the national average overall but below it when it comes to health. If that is important to you, then San Gabriel has that benefit to consider. Grocery bills will only be slightly above the national average. It is the housing costs that mean such above-average costs of living. If you can afford that exclusive property in the first place, though, then the rest will be very affordable.

The lowest cost of living out of all 50 states of America is experienced in Mississippi, although relatives may not take too kindly to have to spell it when addressing envelopes to you.

We hope that the above has proved useful in your mission to find real estate.
